Remember the last time that you were away from home and your phone died? You probably felt a little anxiety or panic from being disconnected from the internet. It kind of freaks us out when our ability to communicate with anyone not currently with us is compromised. This happened to me recently, and led me to purchase a Sentey 20800mah so that it doesn’t happen again.
Ali and I took a drive down the Oregon coast to Tillamook. She had never been, and I insisted that seeing the cheese factory there, and taking a drive to nearby Cape Meares were worth doing before we leave Oregon.
Needless to say, the use of Spotify, Google Maps, camera, and Facebook left our devices depleted. I decided then and there, that we needed a power bank to recharge our phones, and that item would also be useful for us when we leave on our across the world adventure.
After doing some research on Amazon, I settled on the Sentey 20800mah Portable Charger Power Bank. ⇐ If you purchase through that link, we will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. These traveling yogis could use it!
I chose the Sentey 20800mah because of the good reviews on Amazon, and at the time of purchase was the biggest capacity power bank available. After about a month and a half of use, I’m very pleased with my purchase and feel strongly enough about it to recommend it to you.
As advertised, it holds a lot of power. I get 5-6 charges of my Samsung Galaxy S4. My Nexus 10 tablet apparently has a pretty large battery because I only have a little juice left in the Sentey 20800mah after charging it. The charging is SUPER FAST though. My phone can go from dead to full in about 35 minutes.
After opening the package, I was a little surprised by how large and heavy it is. I guess that is to be expected considering how much power this thing can store. As you can see in the image above, it’s much bigger than your hand.
My one small complaint is that the LED indicators that show you how much power remains are not completely accurate. Once the bars start going down, they go down pretty fast. Overall, that’s not a big enough negative for me to give this a negative review. I really like mine.
The other thing, although not really a complaint, is that it takes about 13 hours for it to charge fully. That just makes sense though considering all of the power that this thing can store.
After you get one of these, it’s a no brainer that you should have always had one. I now use mine daily for a mid-day charge, and never have to worry about showing up to my yoga or fitness classes with no ability to play my playlists.
When we set off on our travels in January, I have no doubt that this thing will get a lot of use! Even if you’re not traveling, it comes in handy! I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Let me know if you have further questions about this product. I’d be happy to answer if I can!
